Millcreek, in partnership with the Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC), is conducting a comprehensive planning assessment of Millcreek’s sidewalks and trails network system. Throughout the course of the study, the planning team will gather key data and information from the public to establish an updated master plan that will enhance the sidewalk and trail network in Millcreek. The team will also generate recommendations for routes that will reinforce safety, comfort, and convenience for all users. This planning study will last through 2024.

Why a Millcreek Sidewalks and Trails Master Plan?
Millcreek initiated this study with the vision of creating a sidewalk network that provides a safe, comfortable, and convenient passage to destinations and explore trail opportunities along waterways within Millcreek and connections to regional trails.
The study goals are:

Create a sidewalk network that provides safe, comfortable, and convenient passage to destinations.
2.
Identify opportunities for existing canal, creek, and ditch connections within Millcreek and the trail network to the neighboring communities.
3.
Define walkable pedestrian priority zones and provide neighborhoods with places to meet and access quality amenities, services, and public spaces.
4.
Develop a network that is useful, implementable, and feasible.
